Embracing the heritage of Persian Gabbeh designs, this Afghan-made rug is a testament to traditional craftsmanship. The rug displays a vibrant patchwork of colors and simplistic motifs that evoke a sense of rustic charm, seamlessly integrating with both modern and classic decor styles. Through expert weaving, each detail is thoughtfully rendered, offering a textured and inviting feel underfoot. With its dimensions of 2'7" x 6'7", this unique piece is an embodiment of cultural artistry meeting contemporary demand.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
