Pets & Rugs

Repairing a torn Persian Isfahan rug.

This Isfahan had a silk foundation with a wool and silk pile.

This 1950's Persian Isfahan was brought to us because someone's pet was feeling perturbed about being left alone for too long,

Ali was able to recreate the foundation and match the original length of the fringe (which was very important to this client). With the foundation in place, Ali was then able to meticulously restore and reknot the damaged area.

The silk foundation made this rug a very extensive project. Silk is a very strong material and can be spun into extremely fine fibers which makes for more detailed designs.

A stitch in time saves nine.

Rugs are made to last a lifetime.
