Delicately handcrafted, this Sino Aubusson rug showcases the classic elegance of French design with a touch of eastern artisanship. It features a symphony of floral motifs and pastel tones, which create a soft, romantic aesthetic that complements both traditional and contemporary decor. The artisan's skill is evident in the intricate details and the high quality of the weave, making this rug a seamless blend of art and functionality. With a size of 7'11" x 10'1", it brings a refined and cultured ambiance to any interior space.

Aubusson rugs are handwoven in the villages of Aubusson and Felletin in Creuse in central France. First made for nobility and royalty, their flatwoven form became synonymous with french carpets, as pile aubusson rugs were rare. They resemble modified Oriental designs, Oushak medallion carpets, or Renaissance florals, and architecture, in soft colors that reflect French tastes. Sino Aubussons are rugs that have been copied and recreated in the Shangdong region of China.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
