This Gabbeh Amalehbaft rug proudly reflects the rich heritage of Persian craftsmanship, featuring a simple yet striking pattern reminiscent of traditional nomadic art. The textural depth and visual harmony of this piece is underscored by its natural color palette, ideal for adding a touch of timeless serenity to modern interiors. Every thread of this rug speaks of the skill of the artisan, capturing an essence that is both unique and authentic. It is perfectly sized at 2'6" x 4'0" for versatility in a range of contemporary spaces.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
