Crafted in Pakistan, this Gabbeh rug draws on a rich heritage of Persian design, exuding rustic charm through its tribal motifs and earthy color palette. Artisanal mastery shines in the hand-knotted wool, inviting a sense of warmth and texture to complement both modern and traditional interiors. A perfect blend of cultural history and contemporary appeal, this rug showcases a unique aesthetic that speaks to both past and present design sensibilities. This versatile piece measures 7'11" x 10'3", integrating seamlessly into an array of living spaces.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
