Crafted with time-honored techniques, this Persian Mashad rug is a testament to the enduring artistry of Middle Eastern weavers. The rug's plush wool pile and intricate floral motifs, etched against a vivid crimson background, lend a timeless elegance that would enrich any modern living space. Embracing both classical appeal and contemporary sophistication, it can seamlessly integrate into today's interior design trends, making it an exceptional choice for discerning collectors. This exceptional piece measures 8'10" x 12'4", offering a substantial presence in any setting.

Rug production began in Mashad, a city in northeastern Iran, in the late nineteenth century. Mashhad is a source of beautiful rug weaving as well as a marketplace for trading rugs of surrounding villages. Deep crimson red is usual in Mashad rugs and is balanced by tones of sky and navy blue. Mashad rugs are typically woven in large standard sizes, and the flowing designs resemble those of Kerman and Kashan.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
