“Featuring washes of green and blue tones, this Persian Gabbeh rug showcases the natural dyes the Gabbeh weavers forage for. Each dye lot produces slightly different tones, resulting in beautiful linear washes of color. The center has red, gold, and navy blue accents with people, tree and animal motifs.
All Persian Gabbeh feature handspun wool foundations and piles and are made with natural vegetal dyes.
Traditional Gabbeh feature a coarse weave, with few knots per inch and a thick, plush wool pile. They usually have very little in the way of design elements, with large open fields, simple geometric shapes, bold, bright colors, and tribal drawings of people, plants and animals.”
