This Gabbeh rug, rooted in the Afghan tradition of carpet weaving, showcases the rich heritage and skillful craftsmanship passed down through generations. The rug's bold, tribal patterns and vibrant, natural dyes create a tactile tapestry that is both visually striking and deeply textured. Its distinctive design nimbly bridges traditional and modern decor, introducing a touch of worldly sophistication to any contemporary space. Measuring 10'7" x 14'2", this Gabbeh rug is a testament to the artisans' mastery and a unique feature for discerning collectors.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm.
