This refined Indo Agra rug showcases a classic Persian design, masterfully crafted by Indian artisans with a rich history in textile creation. Infused with a harmonious symphony of color—warming reds, deep browns, and subtle beiges—it brings a touch of timeless elegance to any space. At 9'1" x 12'0", the rug seamlessly combines traditional motifs with modern interior trends, making it a versatile addition to both contemporary and classic decors. Its unique craftsmanship ensures that each rug narrates its own story of heritage and artistry.

Carpet manufacturing began in 1619 during Agra's period as the capital of the Mughal Empire. In the late 19th century, carpet weaving was often based in jails, the most famous of which is the Agra Jail, where inmates produced exceptional rugs during that period using traditional designs. Agra rugs include shapes and styles that depict elements from nature, and use vegetable dyes to make the weaving yarns in classic blue, red, purple, and gold hues.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
