This meticulously handcrafted Amaleh Gabbeh rug comes steeped in the rich weaving traditions of Persia, embodying timeless craftsmanship and attention to detail. The rug's understated geometric border frames a subtly striated field, creating a sophisticated visual narrative that blends seamlessly with contemporary decor. Its soft hues and texture lend a touch of understated elegance to any space, while the unique handiwork of the artisan ensures that no two pieces are exactly alike. This elegant piece measures 2'7" x 12'5", offering a harmonious blend of historical artistry and modern aesthetic.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
