This Persian Gabbeh rug, handwoven with exceptional craftsmanship, tells a story rooted in the nomadic traditions of Iran. Its minimalist design, featuring unadorned fields and simple motifs, embodies the Gabbeh's characteristic rustic charm and lends an air of understated elegance to contemporary spaces. The woven texture and natural dyes create a warm, inviting foundation that connects modern decor with an ancient art form. Perfect for a cozy interior accent, this rug measures 4'0" x 5'7".

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
