Drawing upon the vibrant legacy of traditional Persian Gabbeh designs, this handcrafted Indian rug showcases an array of stylized motifs and geometric patterns, beautifully arrayed across a deep blue field. The artisan's skill is evident in the varied textures and playful imagery that make each panel a visual delight, reflecting a heritage of careful craftsmanship. Seamlessly compatible with contemporary decor, the rug's rich colors and unique design offer a lively yet harmonious accent to modern interiors. With dimensions of 2'10" x 9'3", this piece provides a distinctive and cultured charm to any space it graces.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
