This handcrafted Indo Gabbeh rug draws from a rich Persian-influenced tradition, emanating the artistry and expertise of Indian artisans. Its refined simplicity is accentuated with gently variegated hues and subtle geometric motifs that speak to both meticulous craftsmanship and modern aesthetics. Ideal for contemporary spaces, this piece complements minimalist decors with its understated elegance and textured feel. The rug measures 7'11" x 10'2", making it a perfect fit for intimate and grand interiors alike.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
