Description

The Persian Mahal rug is an embodiment of timeless craftsmanship and rich history, presenting a finely-woven surface accentuated with softened hues and classic motifs. Its beautiful texture and subtle palette of earthy tones provide a versatile foundation that complements current decor trends seamlessly. Each artisanal piece tells its own story and integrates effortlessly into both traditional and modern interiors. This elegant and durable rug measures 3'4" x 21'0", offering a sophisticated and enduring aesthetic to any home.

Mahal rugs are woven in the region known as the Mahallat, outside of Arak in central Northwestern Iran. Similar in appearance to Sultanabad rugs, with their allover designs, bold floral, vinescroll patterns, and soft classic colors, but identified by different weave and luster.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
