Description

Embodying the traditional craftsmanship of the Qashqai tribe, this authentic Persian Kelim rug boasts a rich tapestry of cultural history and artisanship. The geometric patterns and earthy color palette seamlessly accent contemporary design trends, making it a sophisticated addition to any modern space. Crafted with care, its flat-weave construction and intricate motifs make it a unique piece that speaks of timeless elegance. Perfectly sized at 5'4" x 8'0", this rug integrates historical significance with chic, functional decor.

Kelim, a word of Turkish origin, denotes a pileless rug of many uses produced by one of several flatweaving techniques that have a common or closely related heritage and are practiced in the geographical area that includes parts of Turkey, North Africa, the Balkans, the Caucasus, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Central Asia and China. Kelim designs are made by interweaving the variously colored wefts and warps.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
