This Saruk rug, steeped in Persian tradition, exemplifies the timeless craftsmanship that has made such pieces revered through the ages. Woven by skilled artisans, its intricate patterning and rich color palette seamlessly bridge the gap between classic beauty and contemporary decor. Its detailed motifs, rendered in hues of deep reds, blues, and subtle creamy accents, add a touch of refined elegance to any room. With a size of 8'6" x 11'4", this rug promises to be a sophisticated and cherished addition to your collection.

Saruk rugs were produced in Saruk, Arak, and the surrounding countryside in the Markazi Province of Iran. For much of the 1920s, 1930s and 1940s, rugs exported from Iran to the USA were dyed to a desirable, deep, raspberry red color, since Americans had an affinity for the curvilinear and floral designs, but not the color. Saruk rugs continue to be produced today, using the same methods as during early production, with the exception of the post-production dye job.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
