Crafted with meticulous care by Indian artisans, this Gabbeh rug showcases a timeless Persian design, melding ancient elegance with modern aesthetics. The surface presents a sophisticated abstract motif, characterized by varying hues of blues artfully spread across a deep charcoal foundation, creating a visual and textural feast. This piece seamlessly complements contemporary decors, enhancing spaces with its understated yet compelling charm. It spans an area of 8'0" x 9'10", making it an ideal addition for those seeking a blend of cultural heritage and contemporary flair.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
