This robust Gabbeh rug, handcrafted in India, pays homage to the traditional Persian Gabbeh designs with its minimalist yet profound geometric patterns woven skillfully into its dense pile. Its understated elegance features a deep charcoal field punctuated with serene ivory dots, encased in rich sienna borders that add a sophisticated contrast. Seamlessly blending with contemporary décor, the artisanal excellence behind this piece elevates any room into a timeless space of subtle luxury. The rug measures an expansive 8'1" x 10'1", offering ample coverage and comfort.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
