This handcrafted Gabbeh rug from India features a bold, abstract pattern, drawing on the rich weaving traditions of Persian Gabbeh designs. The plush pile and high-quality wool construction provide both visual depth and a luxurious feel underfoot, with hues of deep burgundy, soft pink, and earthy browns. Echoing contemporary design trends, this piece introduces a touch of modernity while maintaining the timeless craftsmanship of the artisan. Sized at 6'11" x 7'0", it seamlessly bridges the gap between classic heritage and contemporary elegance.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
