The Gabbeh Amalehbaft rug, a handwoven treasure from Persia, showcases a blend of traditional craftsmanship and timeless design. This charming piece features playful motifs of animals and nature against a backdrop of earthy tones that offer visual warmth and textural richness. Seamlessly integrating with contemporary decor, the rug's unique features and authentic artistry by skilled artisans make it a subtle yet impactful addition to any space. With dimensions of 2'5" x 3'11", it promises to enhance an intimate area with its cultural heritage and artisanal charm.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
