Drawing on the traditional Persian Gabbeh design, this handcrafted Pakistani rug showcases both historical significance and masterful craftsmanship. Its luxurious wool pile is dyed a vibrant cascade of reds, with subtle textures and patterns that give a nod to ancient weavings. Echoing contemporary decor trends, this piece effortlessly blends heritage with modern aesthetics, making it a versatile addition to any space. The rug measures 8'1" x 9'8", offering a substantial presence to enrich your home with cultural charm and artisanal quality.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
