Embodying the rich historical significance of Persian craftsmanship, this authentic Kashkoli Gabbeh rug offers an organic aesthetic with its understated design and earthy color palette. Woven by skilled artisans, the rug captures the essence of traditional knitting techniques, featuring a warm, deep red field accented with subtle tribal motifs. Its robust texture complements modern interiors, adding a touch of timeless elegance with a fusion of rustic charm. Perfectly sized at 6'7" x 7'10", this piece promises to enhance any contemporary space with its unique character and artisanal heritage.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
