This Fine Indo Gabbeh rug, expertly crafted in India, embraces the simplistic beauty of traditional Persian Gabbeh designs. Its sumptuous wool pile presents a gradient of warm, earthy tones, offering both visual depth and a tactile luxury that complements contemporary minimalistic trends. The understated elegance of its design and colorway ensures that it can seamlessly integrate into and elevate a range of interior decors. A testament to artisanal skill, this rug measures 5'0" x 8'0", making it a versatile addition to the Asian Trade Rug Company's curated collection.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
