This refined Afghan Gabbeh rug pays homage to traditional Persian craftsmanship, presenting a spirited geometric pattern with tribal influences. The rug's naturally dyed, deep black field is accentuated with playful touches of color, and its thick pile offers a rustic yet soft texture. Seamlessly incorporating into contemporary design schemes, the rug exhibits an understated authenticity that enriches modern living spaces. With carefully crafted dimensions of 1'11" x 2'11", this piece is an embodiment of artisan skill and cultural heritage.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.
