Description

This Gabbeh rug, handcrafted in Pakistan, reflects the ancient Persian design favored for its minimalism and bold geometric patterns. The rich, warm hues and textural depth exude a simple, yet profound artistry, aligning seamlessly with modern and eclectic décor trends. The artisan's skill is evident in the even pile and harmonious color variations, with dimensions that come in at 2'5" x 8'4". This piece is a testament to timeless design, adding a touch of artisanal history to any living space.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
