This Malayer rug weaves together the rich tapestry of Persian history with its intricate patterns and hand-knotted wool craftsmanship. Traditional motifs in hues of blues and browns unfold across its surface, creating a visual narrative that feels equally at home in both classic and modern settings. Artisans have meticulously designed each detail to bring a piece of the past into the contemporary home. Sized at 2'9" x 13'4", it offers a distinctive and timeless elegance to any elongated space.

Malayer rugs are made by semi-nomadic people living in the Malayer district near Arak, between Hamadan’s major weaving areas and Saruk in Northwest Persia. The designs range from diamond or hexagon shaped medallions to all-over patterns, such as the classic Herati pattern. Although Malayer rugs were produced from classical Persian sources, they tend to be fairly geometric and abstract, with soft coloration and occasional dark blues and reds.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm.
