Serab rugs are woven the village of Serab in the Sabalan mountain range near Heriz in northwestern Iran. Frequently constructed of camel hair, and often camel in color, they are sturdy and resistant to wear. Diamond shaped medallions, often with arrows, allover designs, and geometric nature motifs are common. They bear a restrained palette of primarily earth tones, ivory, reds, and indigo hues.
