This Pakistani Gabbeh rug is meticulously handcrafted, reflecting a rich legacy that borrows from the traditional Persian Gabbeh designs known for their abstract style. Its dense weave showcases a symphony of navy hues interwoven with delicate, colorful motifs that add vibrancy, making it a versatile addition to both modern and traditional interiors. Artisanal skill shines in every fiber of this rug, creating a texture that invites touch and exudes comfort. This piece's qualities are woven together in a final form that measures 5'4" x 7'10", offering a blend of cultural history and contemporary allure.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm.
