Description

This Luribaft Gabbeh rug is a testament to the enduring art of Persian weaving, showcasing a distinctive patchwork of individually detailed squares that tell a story of traditional craftsmanship. Each panel is intricately adorned, presenting a rich visual texture that plays with a spectrum of vivid colors, bound to enhance contemporary spaces with a touch of time-honored elegance. Meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans, this rug effortlessly unites classical motifs with modern interior trends. Sized at 8'5" x 12'0", it offers a substantial and artistic anchor for a thoughtfully curated home or office space.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
