Description

This Persian Mahal rug captures the essence of centuries-old weaving traditions, distinguished by its intricate patterns and robust hues. The artistry of the weaver is evident in the detailed floral motifs and harmonious color palette, which seamlessly integrate into both classic and contemporary decor. With an alluring visual texture that adds depth and character to any space, this rug exemplifies the confluence of timeless craftsmanship and modern versatility. The size of this heritage-accent piece is 8'11" x 12'5".

Mahal rugs are woven in the region known as the Mahallat, outside of Arak in central Northwestern Iran. Similar in appearance to Sultanabad rugs, with their allover designs, bold floral, vinescroll patterns, and soft classic colors, but identified by different weave and luster.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
