Description

This Gabbeh rug, handcrafted in India, showcases a bold floral pattern reminiscent of traditional Persian designs, celebrating the artistry and craftsmanship of bygone eras. The rug's earthy tones and tactile wool pile add a touch of natural elegance, seamlessly fitting into both modern and classic interior styles. A distinct addition to any room, this piece is a testament to the lasting beauty of artisanal rug-making. The rug measures 7'9" x 10'1", offering a substantial focal point for discerning interiors.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
