This Sino Aubusson rug embodies the grace of French-inspired design with meticulous Chinese craftsmanship. Its symmetrical floral patterns and pastel color palette align gracefully with modern and traditional interiors alike, complementing various decor trends. The artisan's attention to detail is evident in the refined textures, adding an elegant touch to any room. Skillfully fashioned to a size of 2'11" x 4'10", this rug is a harmonious blend of cultural artistry and timeless style.

Aubusson rugs are handwoven in the villages of Aubusson and Felletin in Creuse in central France. First made for nobility and royalty, their flatwoven form became synonymous with french carpets, as pile aubusson rugs were rare. They resemble modified Oriental designs, Oushak medallion carpets, or Renaissance florals, and architecture, in soft colors that reflect French tastes. Sino Aubussons are rugs that have been copied and recreated in the Shangdong region of China.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
