This distinguished Afghan Gabbeh rug, with its bold geometric patterns and vibrant hues, pays homage to the rich history and master craftsmanship of traditional Persian design. The deep indigos and warm terracotta tones, juxtaposed with lively accents, infuse any contemporary space with a sense of vitality and time-honored artistry. Ideally suited for the modern home, this rug's unique character and handwoven textures offer an immediate update to interior decor. This Gabbeh piece measures 8'1" x 10'0", bringing an authentic global touch to a sizable living area or sophisticated workspace.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
