Description
This Persian Gabbeh rug embodies a minimalist elegance with its bold geometrical framing and monochromatic color palette, paying homage to the simplicity yet profound artistry of its Persian origins. The hand-knotted craftsmanship reflects a deep history of rug-making, while the high-quality wool and subtle texture seamlessly complement modern and contemporary interiors. Unique in design, this piece effortlessly bridges the gap between traditional authenticity and current home decor trends. Sized at 5'7" x 7'4", it provides a tasteful and culturally rich focal point for any room.
Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants.
Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
