Drawing on the rich tapestry of Persian craftsmanship, this Gabbeh Amalehbaft rug showcases artisanal skill with its vibrant, hand-knotted wool and intricate grid design. The play of golden hues against muted borders exemplifies its visual appeal, aligning with contemporary decor themes that favor warm, earthy tones. Artisan-created, this piece adds a touch of time-honored tradition to any modern home. Sized at 3'7" x 4'8", it's an intimate and unique addition that promises to enrich a discerning collector's space.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
