A dhurrie is an Indian or Pakistani handwoven flatweave carpet made of cotton or wool, an item of home furnishing originally used for many things besides rugs. Due to the weaving technique, both sides of the rug are patterned, and therefore reversible. Dhurries have unique designs such as multicolored stripes, geometric lines, patterns repeated in a more or less regular manner.
