Drawing on the rich weaving traditions of Persia, this authentic Gabbeh rug showcases the skillful craftsmanship of its artisan creator. Its simplistic geometric motifs and elemental animal figures, paired with a warm, earthy color palette, offer a striking visual appeal that complements both modern and traditional settings. This rug's plush pile and detailed texture invite tactile exploration, while its hand-knotted quality ensures durability. With dimensions of 4'8" x 6'6", this piece anchors a room with a touch of history that effortlessly bridges the past and present.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
