Drawing on the storied tradition of Persian Gabbeh designs, this handcrafted Indian rug showcases a bold, tribal-like pattern with a rich textural depth that promises to add a touch of timeless elegance to any modern space. The understated color palette accentuates the artisanal detailing, making the plush wool pile a serene focal point in both contemporary and traditional settings. It exhibits a unique blend of simplicity and sophistication that is seamlessly aligned with current decor trends, inviting warmth and cultural history into your home. This exquisite rug measures 2'9" x 9'1".

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
