This Persian Gabbeh rug presents a minimalist design with a series of block motifs and charming animal figures, reflective of a storied nomadic tradition. Crafted with natural wool, its simple yet expressive pattern harmonizes with modern decor, offering warmth and a handcrafted touch. The ample texture and authentic craftsmanship provide a tactile experience intrinsic to its artisanal origin. Perfect for accentuating contemporary spaces, this rug measures 2'7" x 3'9".

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
