This vibrant Gabbeh rug, steeped in Persian tradition, exhibits an expressive array of vibrant coral-like motifs set against an ivory field, encapsulating the artisanal spirit with lush, hand-knotted wool. A testament to historical craftsmanship, the rich texture and folk-inspired design present a playful yet sophisticated addition to any contemporary space. Perfectly sized for accentuating smaller areas or as a focal point in a cozy nook, the rug measures 1'10" x 3'0". Each rug is a unique art piece, bringing time-honored techniques to the modern home.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
