This Gabbeh rug crafted by Persian artisans exudes a vibrant and rich heritage with its simple, yet profound geometric patterns and a raw, hand-woven appeal. Its bold, color-blocked bands in earthy and primary tones are a nod to both the craftsmanship of old and the minimalist tendencies of modern interior design, making it suitable for contemporary spaces. The wool's natural texture offers a warm, tactile experience and the unique character of the weave tells a story of cultural tradition. Perfectly sized at 6'0" x 9'2", this rug is an embodiment of art and history interpreted through a modern lens.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
