This Luri Gabbeh rug, handwoven in Afghanistan, is a testament to the timeless skill of Afghan artisans, drawing on a rich tapestry of Persian design heritage. The vibrant geometric patterns and earthy tones bring warmth and authenticity to any contemporary space, effortlessly bridging traditional craftsmanship and modern style. Unique in its visual story, the rug showcases a harmonious blend of colors and tribal motifs, making it a focal point in a design-conscious interior. Measuring 5'1" x 8'3", it offers a distinct and grounded elegance to enrich your home décor.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
