Description
Crafted with tireless precision, this Afghan Kazak rug presents a dynamic geometric pattern steeped in Caucasian tradition. The rich red field is a vivid canvas, intricately adorned with crisp motifs in gold, blue, and cream, signaling exceptional artisanship. Effortlessly bridging the gap between time-honored and contemporary, this piece elevates modern interiors with its bold aesthetic and palpable history. At a versatile size of 2'5" x 6'9", it is a distinct and refined choice for adding character to any space.
Afghan rugs have traditionally been made in the northern and western areas of Afghanistan, mainly by Afghan Turkomans and Uzbeks. Using rug designs sometimes thousands of years old, and often correlating with Baluchi , Pakistani, and nomadic tribal weaving, various vegetable and other natural dyes are used to produce the rich colors and many patterns, but the traditional and most typical is that of the Bokhara print, often with a red background. The weavers also produce other trappings of the nomadic lifestyle, including tent bags and ceremonial pieces.
Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
