Description
The Persian Heriz rug is renowned for its durability and unique geometric patterns, skillfully produced by skilled artisans using age-old techniques. Its robust and lustrous wool pile is intricately hand-knotted, featuring a bold central medallion and a melange of navy blue, terracotta, and accents of ivory, making it a versatile addition to both traditional and modern interiors. Reflecting a legacy of craftsmanship, this Heriz design exudes a sense of timelessness and artistry. Measuring 11'8" x 14'9", it elegantly anchors larger spaces with its grandeur and distinctive character.
Heriz rugs are Persian rugs from the area of Heriz in northwest Iran, northeast of Tabriz. Rugs are produced in the village of the same name in the slopes of Mount Salaban. Heriz carpets are durable and hard-wearing and they can last for generations. Heriz rug weavers often make them in geometric, bold patterns in vibrant colors with a large medallion dominating the field. Such designs are traditional and often woven from memory.
