Dosemealti rugs are woven in a large region, called Dosemealti, in the southern part of Turkey, and have been since the 15th century. They are made primarily of goat and sheep wool, and dyed with vegetable dyes that provide vivid colors. Of which reds, blues, and whites are most common in their geometric patterns and designs.
