This Gabbeh rug celebrates the simplistic yet masterful artistry infused with the legacy of Persian craftsmanship. The artisan’s choice of neutral tones creates a serene landscape of plush wool textures, with a minimalist approach that speaks to modern decor sensibilities. With a subtle interplay of beige and white hues, this piece, sized 6'7" x 9'3", seamlessly blends in contemporary settings while maintaining its cultural richness. Its understated elegance is a testament to the designer's skill in creating timeless beauty for the discerning collector.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
