Delve into the rich tableau of Persian history with this handcrafted Luri Gabbeh rug, a tapestry woven with generations of artisan skill. The rug's subtle earth tones and simple geometric motifs exude a timeless elegance that easily assimilates into contemporary interior styling. Each knot speaks to the unique character of the piece, celebrating the individuality of its creator's artistic vision. Sized comfortably at 2'6" x 9'2", this rug offers a warm presence in any modern home setting.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
