Mahal rugs are tranditionally woven in the region known as the Mahallat, outside of Arak in central Northwestern Iran. Similar in appearance to Sultanabad rugs, with their allover designs, bold floral, vinescroll patterns, and soft classic colors, but identified by different weave and luster.
