This Oushak runner pays homage to the enduring Turkish designs, meticulously handcrafted by Afghani artisans. It exhibits a balanced symphony of soft colors and intricate patterns, making it a versatile addition to both traditional and contemporary interiors. The velvety texture and subtle sheen exude understated elegance that complements the modern minimalist trend. With dimensions of 2'9" x 10'0", this rug promises to add historical charm and artisanal craftsmanship to any space.

Oushak rugs originated in the small town of Oushak in west-central Anatolia, just south of Istanbul, Turkey. The designs are highly influenced by Persian designs and were highly favored in the Ottoman Empire. They are typically based on large scale geometric or floral motifs. The dyes tend toward muted earth tones, gold, blue, green, ivory or grey. Today, modern interpretations of the Oushak are being created in various rug weaving centers of the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
