Drawing from the rich textile tradition of Afghanistan, this Luri Gabbeh rug celebrates the craftsmanship passed down through generations. The vivid, geometric patterns and warm, earthy colors are inviting, establishing a sense of authenticity and grounded elegance in any space. Versatile in its appeal, it easily integrates into contemporary design schemes with its unique tribal motifs and artisanal quality. This exceptional piece measures 2'7" x 8'4", offering a tapestry of cultural history for the modern home.

Gabbeh are tribal rugs crafted by the nomadic Kurdish, Luri and Qashqai people of the Zagros Mountains in Iran. The word Gabbeh translates from Farsi meaning raw, uncut, or natural. These rugs are a byproduct of a pastoral lifestyle, produced using wool from their sheep herd and dyes from native plants. Gabbeh rug concepts are now being copied and reimagined at many notable modern centers of weaving across the world.

Our collection includes new and vintage/antique handmade rugs, each with its own unique characteristics and color variations, enhancing their individuality and charm. We do our best to accurately depict colors and areas of variation/repair/wear in our photos. We invite you to embrace the inherent beauty of these variations, as they contribute to the authenticity and allure of our handcrafted rugs. Expert repairs and restoration available as needed.
